The ever-popular Barney and Echo Roadshow travelled to Bramall Lane on Thursday 19th January to deliver the important message of internet safety. The engaging day-long event played host to over 100 children with exciting presentations from four speakers and multiple interactive exhibitions ensuring the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
The Day's events...
Children were given the opportunity to take part in structured group activities that encouraged them to discuss issues surrounding e-safety.
Presentations from PCSO Simon Griffiths from South Yorkshire Police, Alicia Coad from ChatFOSS, Carly Wood from One Day Creative, and Steve Rowley from Link 2 ICT helped to educate and entertain the children.
Schools were treated to goody-bags, free classroom materials, and complimentary refreshments. The children and their teachers also benefitted from access to a mobile interactive tech vehicle provided by Osbourne Technologies, and the chance to get to grips with a virtual reality headset provided by O2 (... and much more – including a poster competition that saw the best young artist win a gift hamper, and the the opportunity to engage with a friendly dancing robot!).
